Coach Dan Holbrook

Coach Dan Holbrook has mentored hundreds of athletes over the last fifteen years though clinics, camps, and individual training.  He brings with him a wealth of knowledge that was passed on to him through his mentors and coaches.  With ten years of experience coaching basketball at the college level, and three years at the high school level,  Coach Holbrook has extensive experience training all age levels from youth to older adults, and all skill levels from beginners to overseas professional players.  He has worked with multiple college All-Americans, advanced high school players, and NBA D-League and overseas professional athletes.

Coach Holbrook was a standout high school basketball player at Lexington High School where he was a three year varsity letterman and a three time Middlesex League Champion.  He was named captain of his team during his senior year, and was a two time  Middlesex League All Star.

After high school Coach Holbrook was a high performing Division 3 athlete at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth.  He scored over 1,000 points in his college career and was one of the nation’s top rebounders in each one of his four seasons.  During his senior year in 2008, Coach Holbrook was named team captain by his peers, was selected as the Player of the Year in the Little East Conference, and he went on to earn All-American honors by both the National Association of Basketball Coaches and D3hoops.

Coach Holbrook has been coaching basketball ever since graduation.  He spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Lexington High School under his mentor and legendary coach Bob Farias.  Holbrook spent two years at Brandeis University in the competitive UAA conference.  He then spent five years working under college hall of fame coach Rollie Massimino at Northwood University.  Massimino is  best known for coaching the  1985 Villanova University Wildcats over highly favored Georgetown University and Patrick Ewing.  While at Northwood, Holbrook also learned under former NBA coach and executive Dick Versace and former NCAA champion and sixteen year professional Dante Calabria.

Coach Holbrook is currently in his third season as an assistant coach at Emmanuel College in Boston where he works under his former high school teammate Coach Danny Lawson.
